Who we serve:

Blenders and refiners with the most reliable source of high-grade ethanol to meet all blending requirements.

  • We’re one of the largest producers of ethanol and biodiesel in the United States. We manufacture ethanol at two production facilities in the heart of the cornbelt: Eddyville, Iowa; and Blair, Nebraska. We make biodiesel from a brand new facility (opened May 2006) in Iowa Falls, Iowa. And we have additional facilities for both products around the world.

  • Beyond our own production, we combine distribution agreements with independent producers and our global reach to assure you a consistent, reliable supply of product in all market conditions. We understand the complexities of this market and use that knowledge to better serve you.
Investors and farmers looking to participate in this fast-growing industry.
  • For farmers or co-op members seeking destinations for grain, we offer pricing and grain marketing tools to help you minimize risk and maximize return. Those tools range from crop failure protection to contracts that guarantee a floor price but give you an opportunity to benefit from a rising market. Check them all out on the Cargill Aghorizons Web site.

  • For investors, we are the most versatile service provider, with skills and resources to help you run the most efficient and profitable enterprise possible. We can help you with:

    • Grain sourcing. We provide the feedstock to fuel your production. We draw upon our long history of managing commodities to offer you a comprehensive process to assess and manage your specific risks, and we provide tools to identify low-cost origination opportunities.

    • Energy risk management. We help protect ethanol producers from unpredictable fluctuations in energy price and supply. Energy markets are the most volatile of all commodity markets. If not properly managed, they can mean the difference between profit and loss. Cargill is a leading power and gas marketer that has been active in the wholesale energy markets for a quarter-century. We leverage that experience to help you manager your energy costs. Customized risk management tools based on our unique experience as an end user help you keep your costs in line, and our personalized web-based monitoring system provides financial information for plant managers, supervisors and accountants at the click of a mouse.

    • Supply chain. Cargill practically invented the concept. For generations, we’ve been one of the most efficient, cost-effective transporters of large volumes from plant to customer anywhere on the globe. Now we provide supply chain consultation to make your biofuels business as efficient as it can be.

    • Biofuels Marketing. We bring producers and their refining and blending customers together to help them market their ethanol and biodiesel.

    • Co-product marketing. As a global leader in the marketing and producting of feed ingredients, Cargill offers ethanol producers a conduit for marketing Distiller’s Dried Grains (DDGs) and biodiesel producers an avenue for marketing glycerin. We may be able to maximize the value of your products through unparalleled market access and information, smooth integration into a comprehensive feed portfolio, and pricing and price prediction based on statistical and historical analysis.

    • Capital Financing. Cargill’s financial strength and credibility with financial institutions provices you with a competitive advantage.
